The Chine Inn

This pub is a gem. Destined for oblivion or worse still to become a holiday home, this building, which has stood since 1621 must have some claim to being one of the oldest buildings with a license on the Island. After a succession of failed ventures, the present owner has put back plenty of the original charm for which it was well known when part of the old Ventnor Burt's empire. Gone are the snugs and small rooms removed by the previous incumbent, but this has not spoilt the old world charm.
