Due to extortionate increases in web hosting charges, I've been forced to move to a new web host provider which has necessitated uploading a total of 4.5 GByte of data over a 2 day period.

No doubt, there may be the odd bit of missing data which would be impossible to fully eliminate – please let me know if there are any pages that affected.

Web Hosting at www.comwebhosting.co.uk provide a superb hosting facility at reasonable cost with many of the frills that you have to pay extra for with hosting sites that charge over twice the price!!

Catbells - Lakeland Walks is now FULLY compatible with Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera & Safari

All pages have been extensively modified to replace menu code and remove conflicts with image swapping to ensure compatibility between Microsoft Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Further changes were also necessary in the structure of each page to remove what in effect were separate 'headers & footers', loaded in as each page was opened to eliminate the disjointed appearance; Firefox simply didn't respond to that command. Furthermore, I've taken the opportunity to incorporate some of the 'new look' into earlier walks but will not replicate all cosmetic improvements as it is simply not time effective.

Visitors using Firefox, Netscape, Opera or Safari can now appreciate the full potential of this site

to be entered in order to submit the guestbook entry

Reply: Thanks for your entry in my Lakeland Walks Guestbook but the email address does really work – well at least on my system & many others that have contacted me over the years. Are you using uSoft Internet Explorer as your browser and Outlook for your mail. To disguise (i.e. hide) my email address from unscrupulous individuals that use spider software to extract email addresses for sale to those that send endless SPAM, I’ve used a small java program which joins up the address.

Perhaps you could advise me of the nature of the problem so that I can investigate further.

UPDATE: E-mail system withdrawn - E-mail address embedded in graphics symbol for anyone wishing to contact me.
