Helvellyn to Grasmere

Starting from Wythburn, the path climbs steeply through the forest onto the fellside to reach Helvellyn returning across Nethermost Pike & Dollywaggon Pike to Grisdale Tarn before climbing onto Fairfield descending across Great Rigg and Heron Pike then diverting to Allcock Tarn to Grasmere

Grade: Strenuous - excellent high level traverse despite descent from Dollywagon to Fairfield (1000' ascent from the hause)
Parking: Park in the car park at Grasmere (GR: NY 338-072) and catch the 555 bus to Wythburn
